Yes, the Swiss Mountain Bike School can easily provide you with rental bikes thanks to our numerous partners.

This is done on a case by case basis according to the client's preferences. We will find a good restaurant or a nice place to have a picnic in any case.

DH stands for "downhill" and consists solely of descending mountain bike trails, generally on the tracks of a bike park, using the lifts for the ascent. The mountain bikes used have a geometry exclusively for downhill riding.

Enduro riding is a mix of short climbs and descents on footpaths outside the bike parks and using ski lifts or other public transport for the climb. The bikes used have a geometry designed for downhill riding but allowing comfortable pedalling on the way up.

XC stands for "cross country" and is practised without ski lifts or public transport. The mountain bikes used have a geometry optimised to be efficient on the climb while allowing sufficient comfort for the descent on footpaths.

In general, muddy or snowy conditions or bad weather are not a valid reason for cancellation by the client. A cancellation is only justified if the risk is too high for the clients. In this case, no charge applies to either party and the lesson or tour is rescheduled to a later date.

In the event of cancellation by the client, a cancellation fee will apply:

• In case of cancellation 30 to 3 days before the event: 50% of the total cost will be charged
• In case of cancellation 72 hours or less before the event: 100% of the total cost will be charged

If a multi-day trip is cancelled 90 days or less before the start date, the deposit and balance will only be refunded if the space can be filled by another client.

Yes, helmets are mandatory for all activities offered by the Swiss Mountain Bike School.

Knee pads are optional for guided tours and enduro mountain biking, but are highly recommended, as no one is safe from a fall on the way down. Knee pads are compulsory for DH courses in a bike park.

The Swiss Mountain Bike School is not specialised in repairs and mechanics on mountain bikes, but our instructors are qualified to carry out repairs during the outing in case of mechanical incidents that hinder its smooth running.

We do not sell mountain bike equipment or accessories, but we can easily advise you and direct you to our partners.

Yes this is possible, however if the booking covers both a morning and afternoon slot, the prices will be the same as for a full day. With regard to the start and end time limits of the flying course, we will be limited by the timetable of the resort where the course is being run. The start and end times of the guided tour are flexible and will be defined by the guide on a case by case basis.

The Swiss Mountain Bike School operates all year round, but it is clear that the weather conditions during certain periods of the winter do not allow mountain biking in the same places as in the summer. Our experience shows that the current winters allow us to practice mountain biking very regularly below a certain altitude, all year round. Mountain biking on snow is also possible under the supervision of an instructor and can even be very fun.
